Memorial Day . . . remembering those who have died in our nation's service! Red, white and blue tried and true! We thank you, our soldiers, for all that you do!
Don't forget to take part in the National Moment of Rememberance on Monday, May 31 at 3 p.m. local time.  We as Americans are asked to voluntarily and informally observe in our own way a moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever we are doing for a moment of silence.  A small act of gratitude for those that fought and gave their lives so bravely for our Great Nation!

Pop Art Minis Alphabet Soup Collection!

I've been having so much fun with my new Alphabet Soup Collection! With 8 letters complete I thought I would  share a collage of the group so far! Starting to get a good look at how things are shaping up and even though I would have liked to have more letters complete by now . . . sometimes there's just not enough hours in the day! LOL!
Thanks to all my Facebook friends for the GREAT suggestions and for all the wonderful comments  . . . definitely inspirational!  I know I have a ways to go before the collection will be complete, but will continue to march through the alphabet until the very end, and by that time I'll probably be ready for some ZZZZ'zzz!

"Life-sized" Fairy Garden - Magical Fun!

Just a quick update on the progress of my Fairy Garden.  Found some great items at the flea market this past weekend (wicker baby buggy, totes, mini drawers, really cool old door) and with a few flowers things are starting to come together.   I've still got a ways to go, but think before long it will be a most magical place filled with laughter fun and fairies . . . hehehe!

G-59 . . . BINGO! We have a Winner! The Rose Bowl Flea Market!

BINGO! This day was definitely a winner!  Great Mother's Day Fun!  Today was spent with my daughter, husband, and one of my best friends, BJ.  We took a short drive up to Pasedena, CA to the famous Rose Bowl Flea Market! It was everything that we heard it would be and all had a blast searching for treasures.  I found some really great things for my evolving Fairy Garden (a separate post :)   In the meantime the pics in this post are a taste of the day!  Great displays and fun finds! If you ever have a chance to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market you won't be disappointed, well at least we sure weren't!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day! A day to celebrate that very special person that we call MOM! This is the first Mother's Day since my Mom lost her battle with renal cell cancer and although I will be celebrating Mom's Day with my daughter, and I know we'll have a great time, it will not be the same as it has been years past!  After the loss of someone that means the world to you it is extremely hard, especially the first time around to not have them be a physical part of your life.  There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her.  She was a most amazing person . . . my rock, my best friend, my MOM!  So in celebration of all the wonderful years that we shared, all the memories of good times, great times and times when I had to learn a lesson :) I want to say, THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!  

New! Pop Art Minis Alphabet Collection

The last few days I've been working on a new collection of Pop Art Mini designs that feature the letters of the alphabet.  So, starting at the beginning first up was A which ended up being for Alligator! Next up, with some helpful suggestions from my Facebook Friends, B for Buzzing Bees! And, tonight I just completed Letter C for Cross-eyed Caterpillar! From now until May 8th, I am holding this give-away to help benefit Whatchagonnado.org, which is an organization that was founded by Charley & Jessica Whitt to honor their daughter Tuesday.

Although their site is not completely up and running yet, the idea they have is. (it will be up by mid-May)
Whatchagonnado.org is being set up to benefit families that are dealing directly with pediatric cancer. It will help to fund their medical costs, food & travel, and even funeral arrangements, if needed.
And, of course, it will also help to provide funds for Pediatric Cancer Research.
