Easter is fast approaching so I thought it would be fun to "blog" a little about a sweet sensation that is ever so popular this time of year . . . PEEPS! I've been having a fun little conversation about these crazy little characters with a friend as well . . . seems we're on opposite sides of the Peep aisle. Personally, I like to eat Peeps only after a rather lengthy "harvest" time of say at the very least 3-4 weeks and actually think that the more stale the better! I never could tolerate the sweet treat right out of a freshly opened box. Some may call it peep torture or cruel and inhumane treatment, but come on the little things are going to get eaten anyway and why not let the little guy hang around a little longer! I'm sure there is a major debate between those that love Peeps right out of the box or those that choose to "harvest" later for that "fresh" crunchy "stale", but not "stale" taste. How do you prefer "Peeps"? Have a favorite "stale" peep recipe . . . please share!
