This week over at Illustration Friday the word of the week is Cultivate.  So I grabbed my pencil and pastels to create a new Pop Art Mini inspired by this awesome word.  Here's a sneak peek of "Cultivating Curiosity"...an exercise to discover your world!

A Work In Progress . . . "Celebrate-Ain't Life Great"!

Sunday sunshine YAY! Lots to do today, but before I hit the road I wanted to get a pencil sketch started for a new Pop Art Mini!

"Celebrate-Ain't Life Great!" 

Inspired by a little celebration coming up soon! If you look close you might be able to tell what that celebration might be! hehehe! Seems that the cat in the hat has captured by heart for the moment! hehehe!

Hopefully I'll be able to get back to this later today, but in the meantime hope you enjoy this little sneak peek! Oh, and I'm going to try adding a few collage elements to this one...excited to see how that comes together.  Until later...

A Bear A Bunny and A Bulldog!

I'm liking the way they're looking so far.  The eyes are too fun! 

I'm not sure if it will remain a pencil sketch.  I doubt it.  Very rarely am I able to just let it go at this point...I can't bear to not add lots of color or at the very least some black ink and a  few pops of color.  And maybe, just maybe another character just might make an appearance.
