My Puppy Pal...Gifting the Grad Pop Art Mini Style!

YAY! The color is complete and "My Puppy Pal"...a gift for the grad...will soon be on it's way to my Niece, Anna. Not sure if it's what every Jr. High to High School graduate might expect or even want, but I'm hoping that she'll appreciate my efforts and a little extra that will accompany the Pop Art Mini!

Here's a few more up close and personal shots of this big eyed cutie and her puppy pal!

Ok, what next...hmmm...putting my creative thinking cap on and ready to roll on to another sketch with pops of color! Any ideas?

Congratulations...Hip!Hip!Hooray! Celebrating Graduation Day and a W.I.P. Gift!

Anna, The Graduate...they grow up fast!

It's that time of year when graduations roll around and this year my Niece Anna is and at this posting has graduated from Jr. High! She will now make that adventurous journey to High School...wonder if I should put out a warning! LOL Ok, I'm sure things have changed ALOT since I graduated back in, on second thought, no need to share dates...I'll just share a quick sneak peek of my Pop Art Mini gift to the grad!

Her fave dog is the dachshund, perfect choice!

And yes, I'm behind in getting this done, but I promise it will be on it's way before the weekend...ends! I've even started adding the "pops" of color.

And I couldn'ts resist sharing some of the sweet treat talents of my amazing sisters...Ami (graphic artist, extraordinaire...mom of the graduate) and Shari (all around creative guru!) No party is complete without the sweet treats. (I'm still waiting for my doggie bag to arrive in the mail!)

Big Eyed Inspiration...Playing With Dolls...A W.I.P. Wednesday Buzz and What I LOVE!

New B.F.F. Big Eyed Inspiration

I love my Blythe Doll(s)! Call me "cuckoo" that's ok, but there's something about those big eyes that capture my imagination and inspire me in my art. After a day at the office...playing with dolls...hmmm...see a pattern here...I thought it would be fun to enjoy a little play date/photo shoot with my "official" Blythe doll and her new B.F.F. who is not an official Blythe, but we don't need to point that out to her! She recently joined the family and when she arrived she had straight dark black hair and it was not looking too good..thin in the back and kind of icky so I got brave enough to give it a chop and crown her with a new head of hair! I'm liking the new look, but still have a little work to do to get it just right! In the meantime, here's a few quick pix I snapped of the styling duo!

My "official" Blythe is the blond on the left! The dark haired cutie...the new B.F.F.

After all that I needed to relax with a little sketch time...Another Love! And of course that was inspired by the big eyed cuties and a little buzzzz! A Honey of a bumble and a baby bee! Can't wait to add the pops of color!

A Treasured Teddy Bear...Friends To The End!

Whooo's Ready For The Big Reveal?."Owl Only Have Eyes For You."

"Owl" admit...I'm totally stuck on the moon and big eyed characters, but can "who" can resist the inspiration of such fantastical fun?! A cute and cuddly bright eyed owl and a curly haired blond sweetheart are quite a pair...what a mesmerizing stare!

Up next? "Whooo" knows...grabbing my pastels, paper...anything goes!
