It's Here! It's Here! And It's bursting with Sweet TREATS!

Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to unveil my Black Cat Pumpkin Pinata that my amazing and creative sister Shari made for me as a special birthday treat . . . and what a TREAT it was!  Filled with all kinds of my favorite candy goodies from red licorice to pixie sticks, fortune cookies to pretzels and my most favorite caramels.  Thanks again for making my 29th (hehehe) birthday so special!

A Birthday Treat That Was Oh, So SWEET...The Purr-fect Pinata!

A big thanks to my sister, Shari for making an amazingly purr-fect pinata for my 29th (hehehe) birthday! Inspired by a photo of a pinata that from my birthday back in 1964
(cough, cough...really it couldn't have been that long)

she began to work her creative magic with paper mache' and made my day pretty magical as well when she sent me an email pic sharing the gift!  Needless to say I screamed with delight, clapped my hands and did the Happy Birthday dance...and that was just from seeing the photo.  hehehe!  I can hardly wait to get back home from my trip so that I can receive the treat filled pinata in person and than begin my birthday celebrating again! That is how it works, right?

Halloween Fun with an Owl, A Cat and A Jack...Stack!

Who's that I see stacked 1,2,3

It's an owl, a cat and a jack

That's silly I say, you don't see that everyday

Quite a site as a matter of fact!

Whooo says the owl

Boo says the cat

and Jack just says that's that!

We're here to have fun and we've only just begun

So don't have a stack attack!

Was inspired to create this little Halloween Pop Art Mini based on a fun sized frame that I found today.  I loved the tall and thin size of the frame and thought that it would be cute to create a stack of Halloween characters. A wise old owl, a silly black cat with a big grin and a jolly jack-o-lantern just seemed to be the perfect fit and it all fell into place! Hope you've enjoyed this brief holiday intermission . . . now back to the 2011 Pop Art Minis calendar designing! SMILES!

I'd Like To Introduce To You . . ."Mr. Booooo Whoooo!"

There's a new Pop Art Mini that's joining the rest.  I was tweeting and twittering the complete progress.  From start to finish you could watch as I drew. The latest Pop Art Mini I call "Mr. Boo Whoo!"  You can check out more pics of the progression on on Twitpic. 

The original has the added altered elements of the "BOO!" glitter letters, stamping, and the little jewel on Mr. Boo Whoo's party hat . . . so fun!
