Tip Top Fun . . . Frosty's Little Friend! New Holly Day Design!

As hot as it was outside today I can't believe I had an irresistable urge to "Think Snow" by kicking off my Pop Art Minis Holiday season designs with a bit of nostaglia and fun.  A tip top version of Frosty The Snowman featuring a little friend that just happened to hitch a ride in his "old top hat".  "Frosty and his cute as a button friend are jolly, happy guys and are perfect winter wonderland characters. 

Oh, and don't worry this is one snowman that won't be melting anytime soon!

Illustration Friday - Transportation . . . Up Up And Away!

This week over at Illustration Friday the theme challenge was "Transportation" so I thought my little red airplane Pop Art Mini  "Up Up And Away" would make a perfect entry. I created this design a few months back as a special request from a Facebook Friend and really liked the way the red "popped"! Hope you enjoy one of my favorite modes of transportation and one that I seem to use ALOT!  So if you're ready it's time to soar . . . "Up Up And Away!"

4:30 AM On A Saturday? You've Got To Be Kidding!

After an early start to my day yesterday I cannot believe that my body has decided that this might become a new habit (that I plan on breaking as soon as possible) especially on a Saturday! But here I sit, stare and now blog about this new "inner alarm clock".  I've already made my rounds . . .  facebook, twitter, The Hive, and GOOGLE which included searches on Dr. Seuss (still in love with the fabric that I saw yesterday!)

I believe I even dreamed about it and to dream a dream about something so extreme why I do

believe I've flipped! hehehe! 

But I do love a good Google Seuss search!  Which turned up this and a little bit of that mixed all together by the Cat In The Hat!  And I'm really digging that Diffendoofer Day! 

So, although it looks like my "dreamtime" is over for a while (may require a cat in the hat nap later) I believe I'll continue my day in a Pop Art Minis creative way . . . a quick shot of my desk, which is a very big mess

But I'll soon be digging in for some Pop Art Mini creating and the start of my Day-dreaming!

Rinnnggggg..... all caused by my inner alarm clock ringing! Rinnnggggg.....

$1.00 Inspiration . . . "Monday Muse On A Budget" WOOF!

There are lots of great places to seek inspiration for creative fun, artistic flair and crafty creations, but today I thought that it would be fun to kick off a new share called "Monday Muse On A Budget"!  Inspired by a find from a local Dollar Store . . . a plain white, stuffed autograph hound that was just barking, oops, I mean begging to for some creative embellishment.  So with a few markers and my imagination I started drawing and here is my doodle creation with a little inspiration! 

Maybe not a great masterpiece, but fun none the less and less is the key word . . . $1.00! 

Plus, I know with a few found objects, buttons, bows and or whatever else you might have laying around in your "crafty stash" this little hound could be even more fab!  

I just broke it down to the bare (dog) bones, so to speak! WOOF!

So, if you've been inspired to run out to your local Dollar Store and  pick up a blank slate "autograph hound" to create your own "Bob Barker" I'd love if to see your inspired designs!
